Happy birthday to US!!!

That's right... happy birthday to big pappa and lil' mama!!

So maybe it's about week before, but neither of us could wait for our gifts... this is what we treated the other to for this year's gifts.

Scott now has his much coveted mountain bike, however his is of the craigslist variety... as shown in the picture here, just not as sparkly and new (and not as much $$$).

I am now the proud mom of a new little iPhone... isn't she darling. Weighing in at a hefty 4.7 oz and 4.5" tall... this new little bundle of joy has finally arrived and completes our family. But on a serious note, having only had this now for 48 hours I simply don't know how I ever managed without it... I already feel so much more on the ball and organized. Who knew this is all it would take.

Whenever I have a photo shoot planned at my house in my little “studio” I always beg and plead with the kiddos to sit for just a second so that I can get the lights and set up just right before the actual shoot. Well, in doing that, I always end up with the most random of photos... ENJOY! [taken December 2011]

Brody stories...

Here’s another Brody story for ya... A few weeks ago the kids put in a Wii game to play. Shortly after the game began Samantha calmly walked over to me at my desk and in a super low voice said, ‘umm Mom, Brody just said a bad word’. Mind you we have taught our kids that words like stupid, jerk and shut up are all bad words so I wasn’t sure what to believe or expect. I then said ‘are you sure it was a REAL bad word’...to which she enthusiastically said, ‘oh, I’m definitely SURE this is a bad word’. Well, not wanting to spoil the plot I told her not to tell me and that I will just have him tell me. I called Brody over and with an oh-so-cool-matter-of-fact-tone I just asked Brody what he said while playing the Wii game? In his equally oh-so-cool-matter-of-fact-tone he said [referring to the Wii game] ‘oh, I just told Sam let’s get in there and kick their ass’! I know the boy should have had a bar of soap shoved in his mouth, but really??!! How can you not chuckle...or in my ca...
