Now I know why...

Today, for the first time, it hit me like a ton of bricks. I get it. I am now in the club. I now know why most moms only want a family photo as their gift for Christmas, birthday, Mother's Day or any other gift-giving holiday.

Why do I know this... because today was OUR family picture day and it was everything I wanted and more. I don't care if no one looked at the camera, I don't care if we all had something stuck in our teeth... it was a picture of me and my most favorite people on earth and that right there is worth more to me than ANYTHING that could ever be purchased.

So, in honor of picture day I just couldn't help but grab my own camera as soon as we got home to get a few shots of my own since we were all lookin' uber cute. Completely random pics, most out of focus (I really am working to train Scott and Sam), but just a little sneak peek of us...

Random photos...

Whenever I have a photo shoot planned at my house in my little “studio” I always beg and plead with the kiddos to sit for just a second so that I can get the lights and set up just right before the actual shoot. Brody stories...

Here’s another Brody story for ya... A few weeks ago the kids put in a Wii game to play. Shortly after the game began Samantha calmly walked over to me at my desk and in a super low voice said, ‘umm Mom, Brody just said a bad word’. Mind you we have taught our kids that words like stupid, jerk and shut up are all bad words so I wasn’t sure what to believe or expect. I then said ‘are you sure it was a REAL bad word’...to which she enthusiastically said, ‘oh, I’m definitely SURE this is a bad word’. Well, not wanting to spoil the plot I told her not to tell me and that I will just have him tell me. I called Brody over and with an oh-so-cool-matter-of-fact-tone I just asked Brody what he said while playing the Wii game? In his equally oh-so-cool-matter-of-fact-tone he said [referring to the Wii game] ‘oh, I just told Sam let’s get in there and kick their ass’!
