First of many stay-cations...

A buzz word I've been hearing all over the news and in the media is 'stay-cation'. It's the poor mans version of a vacation - instead you end up staying around your home town and exploring new places and parts of your home state. That sounds PERFECT to us!!

This week we took our first day trip stay-cation to Payson. The kids had a blast! We roamed around one of our favorite parks, fed some mean, angry ducks, ate a delicious lunch and had some yummy ice cream and enjoyed.

Someone had a birthday...

Albeit almost 6 months ago, but better late than never. Samantha turned 9 years old in January and I cannot believe how big she is. Every once in a while I will catch a glimpse of her and just think to myself...WOW, you are all mine...I get to keep you forever!! I love that she is in our family and it would not be the same without her.

Whoa baby, it's been a lonnnng time!

OK, here we go... my attempt to play catch up... Scrolling down you see it was just a few posts ago that I was so proud of my new lil 2nd grader. Well as time so often does it just flew right by and we just wrapped up 2nd grade year... watch out 3rd grade. As tradition in our house here is Sam's mini shoot commemorating her 2nd grade year.

Whenever I have a photo shoot planned at my house in my little “studio” I always beg and plead with the kiddos to sit for just a second so that I can get the lights and set up just right before the actual shoot. Well, in doing that, I always end up with the most random of photos... ENJOY! [taken December 2011]
