A Christmas Choir...

... better late than never!

Little Miss Sammy joined in all the reindeer fun this Christmas season and took part in a Christmas choir group for kids her age. The final concert was so fun and she was so very excited to perform all of her favorite holiday songs. Every time we would get in the car to go anywhere she just HAD to listen to the Christmas station in case they played one of her choir songs so she could sing along with the music and practice... worked for me.

Here is just a quick snippet from the choir concert... man I love my new camera!

Tough Mudder

Random photos...

Whenever I have a photo shoot planned at my house in my little “studio” I always beg and plead with the kiddos to sit for just a second so that I can get the lights and set up just right before the actual shoot. Well, in doing that, I always end up with the most random of photos... ENJOY! [taken December 2011]

Shortly after the game began Samantha calmly walked over to me at my desk and in a super low voice said, ‘umm Mom, Brody just said a bad word’. Mind you we have taught our kids that words like stupid, jerk and shut up are all bad words so I wasn’t sure what to believe or expect. I then said ‘are you sure it was a REAL bad word’...to which she enthusiastically said, ‘oh, I’m definitely SURE this is a bad word’. Well, not wanting to spoil the plot I told her not to tell me and that I will just have him tell me. I called Brody over and with an oh-so-cool-matter-of-fact-tone I just asked Brody what he said while playing the Wii game? In his equally oh-so-cool-matter-of-fact-tone he said [referring to the Wii game] ‘oh, I just told Sam let’s get in there and kick their ass’! I know the boy should have had a bar of soap shoved in his mouth, but really??!! How can you not chuckle...or in my ca...
