"So much to do, so little time..."

This was the first thing I woke up thinking this morning. There were soooo many things I really needed to get done today - mainly in the form of photog biz stuff. My list of call backs, album creations, photo editing is literally enough to keep me busy for the next 3 weeks. However, being that it was President's day AND with Sam home from school today AND because it was 75 degrees out with the most beautiful, big blue sky I knew I just had to take this opportunity to be with my kids... OUTSIDE.

We spent 4 glorious hours at a park in Gilbert where we had lunch, dug for dinosaur bones, enjoyed a relaxing nature walk learning all about the various Arizona vegetation and animal life and I have to say I have some of the greatest children EVER. We had fun, we explored nature, we climbed trees... we just had lots of fun together.

I love you kiddos... I'm so glad I get to be your mom!!

Whenever I have a photo shoot planned at my house in my little “studio” I always beg and plead with the kiddos to sit for just a second so that I can get the lights and set up just right before the actual shoot. Well, in doing that, I always end up with the most random of photos... ENJOY! [taken December 2011]

What we've been doing on our Friday nights...

We somehow got roped into a softball team over the summer with almost Scott's entire family as our team (minus a few who were smart to steer clear of the sign up sheet). We actually had a great time playing together and it was fun to do something different; boy were we a bunch of mis-fit toys in wonderland. We had one injury after the other which only reminds us all that we should leave the organized team sports to the next generation - we don't heal as quickly as we used to. Never the less, we did pretty good and were able to stick it out and make it through to the 2nd round of tournament games but then lost miserably and went down in a ball of flames to the tune of 24-4... YIKES! Unfortunately Scott had to work the night we took this photo at our last game... he was there in spirit! Our team captain - or the guy who *made* us do this - is Steve and he is the one kneeling with the goofy "thumbs-up smile" (and yeah, that's me next to the goof ball!) and he is ou...
