... well, in most ways that's true. Take for instance hair bows... each of the girls have probably worn a bow in their hair maybe 2-3 times, TOTAL. I really do wish I was that mom that can do cute hair styles or always has cute bracelets or jewelry for the girls, but to be quite honest I can get so consumed and overwhelmed with just making sure they are dressed with clean underwear/diaper that I completely forget that they need to be GIRLS and have cute hair and stuff.
This morning I decided I needed to have my girls at least resemble GIRLS... hot pink nail polish coming right up!
It actually was the funniest thing to tell Brooke that I was going to paint her toenails. She ran to the office and pulled out Sam's paint set and said 'here mama, here your paint'. I laughed so hard... it really was quite cute. I took the girls to my bathroom and sat them on the counter and painted Sam's toes first so Brooke could see what it would look like. By the time it was Brooke's turn she was so excited. Once I finished her toes I set her on the floor and she started to get very upset and rubbing her toes on the rug (don't worry... they were dry) and then she starting crying. Apparently her toes were cute to her while she was sitting, but once she walked around and saw that the paint was stuck to her toes it really freaked her out. I left the paint on - she will get over it - but it's hilarious watching her walk funny and staring at her toes.
