I personally don't remember mine but I'm almost positive it was met with the whaling and gnashing of teeth - literally. I despise the dentist and it's no secret in our house that even though we have (the worst) dental insurance Scott and I still have a hard time making ourselves be the parent in this situation and just go to the dentist.
I can still feel all the anxieties I felt when I was younger having to go to the dentist and orthodontist - it's really quite debilitating.
So, when it came time for the twins' first dental appointment I made for darn sure that they thought they were going to Disneyland. There's only enough room in this family for two big babies when it comes to going to the dentist and those spots are already occupied by the Mom & Dad.
I was so worried how they would do - they don't do to well when it comes to new, unfamiliar sterile environments - but they both did so great. Brody was really quite the charmer. It was an early enough appt that there were no other patients in the office but just a handful of assistants, hygienists and the doc and he had each one eating out of his hand.
At one point this was an actual conversation he had with the hygienist just before the cleaning started...
Hygienist: Hi Brody, how are you?
Brody: Good.
Hygienist: You have some good looking teeth.
Brody: Uh-huh
Hygienist: Where did you get those beautiful teeth?
Brody: At the store.
Hygienist: Oh really. At the store? What store?
Brody: At Walmart.
My sweet boy... that's the one thing Walmart does not sell that they probably should! I just love that little guy... he cracks us up all the time!!

And I know I am over due with some Halloween pictures... I will try and post them ASAP. I know it's virtually impossible to believe that ME, of all people, would forget to bring a camera to the halloween party we went to so let's just say that it's Scott's fault; the blame usually lands on him for most things anyways :=)
